At EAST MIDDLE, chronic absenteeism has fallen 56% over the 5-year window — from 26.6% in 2015 to 11.7% in 2020. Despite that, the gap vs US average of ~28% has actually widened — from 1.4% below in 2015 to 16.3% below in 2020.
